What impact does John Coffey have on Paul?
John changes Paul's out look on life. He let's him see that miracles do exist, as John healed his infection, brought the mouse back from the dead, healed that mans wife and let Paul see the truth to the events that had resulted with John on death row. John also taught Paul forgiveness and to keep seeing the good in people.
How does the film change the way in which you look at life?
It reassures me not to judge a book by it's cover. Leads me to believe that situations can be more complicated then first thought. I would like to believe miracles exist though the ones portrayed in the film were a bit far fetched. It does reenforce how important forgiveness is and to respect peoples wishes.

Green Mile Task
-Forgiveness
Forgiveness is depicted towards the end of the movie where Coffey forgives Paul and the other prison guards for having to kill him. He didn't have to but to reinsure them that what they were doing was the right thing and that there was no other way he forgave them. The benefits of forgiveness are that you yourself feel better, not letting bitterness or a grudge eat away at you. Positivity always makes life more enjoyable, forgiveness is very much a positive action.
-Light and darkness
Light was portrayed through the goodness in Paul, his positive actions and him believing the best in people. From the start Paul believed Coffey was innocent and that there was something special about him. The evil crazy prison person was the darkness, before we even found out he was the murder he expressed violence and you saw just how messed up he was. The little mouse I also think is light; the mouse gave that prisoner (one who was executed first) some happiness and propose for his last couple of days.

Christ File Reflection
Watching the Christ Files was interesting in some parts but, in most, I was a little confused and bored.
I really liked the visual effects they had throughout the film, it helped me to understand what it was like back then, geographically at least.
The files made me respect the historians who work on discovering more about Christianity and show that there are quite significant facts been the religion.

Little Class Tasks
Words Associated With Light:
Happiness
Peace
Laughter
Justice
Good Health
Grace
Rightfulness
I think if they went to a councilor for help or doctor to prescribe antidepressants they would also feel better, medication is a form of 'the light of God's truth'.
They did it because they were in war conditions, they were stuck in that mind set, not thinking rationally, sadly this thing has happened on numerous accounts throughout history.

‘The Christ Files’: Student Questions and Answers
What is unique about Christianity from an historical perspective?
It leaves itself open for scrutiny, we can check up on it to find the truth within the bible. This is due to the history behind Christianity.
What types of academic research into Christianity are usually reported by the media? Why do you think this is?
Only the scandalous and debatable gets into the headlines. This is because the small boring things are of no interest to most of the world.
When were the Gnostic Gospels written and what was there focus?
The second and third centuries.
Some people claim, on the basis of the Gospel of Phillip that Jesus married Mary Magdeline. On what basis do they reach this conclusion and why do mainstream scholars challenge this thinking?
Because Jesus kissed her on the... (There were words missing)
So they assumed it was lips and that for them to be kissing they must have been together.

RE Task
Malcolm X-
I believe that what X says is very true, why should we treat people with respect if they don't give it back? Respect is earned not just handed out. He is a tad too violent, wouldn't be giving him a gun any time soon. If someone touched you, that shouldn't give you the right to kill them. Yet, he makes sense when saying why would I tolerate a religion that doesn't give me freedom or believe the same things I do (not sure what religion he is talking about but I don't have that issue).
King Jr-
He means well but perhaps he needs to reconsider loving the haters, you don't have to hate the haters but I wouldn't love them either. He is right with everything that he saying about light can only drive out darkness, that sometimes you do have to suck it up and be the bigger man.
I think if you combine both of these mens opinions you would have a very sensible and wise man, making all the right decisions.

Son of God Tasks
Compile a summary list of the findings/discoveries.
Joseph was the Jewish archeologist, had all the plans drawn up.
Someone like Jesus who grew up in peasant society would be shocked when he visited the temple. The gifted young boy from the sticks was found debating with scholars and priests - referring to Jesus.
Eric leads the team of diggers, he thinks the active street life would have influenced Jesus?
Found barns used by priests for purification, the same priests who run the temple.
Brutality of the Romans wasn't forgotten.
Cliffs around the sea of Galilee had hundreds of caves, that were used as hideouts.
Why Jesus walked into the desert?
40 days and nights was spent deciding what to do.
Because People would isolate themselves, when they wanted to think.
Decided to go with an unarmed campaign.
Part 3: ep 2?
Holy city, Jerusalem - east gate of the temple mount
Jesus Asked one of his disciples to fetch him a donkey, arrived in the holy city the exact way the old testament understood the masked would arrive as well as the timing. The timing of his arrival was in it's self an act of defiance as it was pass over, a massive celebration in the Jewish religion.
Jesus Didn't agree with the people making money out people visiting the temple. They would make money by selling people 'sacred' doves. Jesus went and turned over some of these money makers tables.
Ep 3:
Why did Jerusalem have walls?
Jesus actions cost him his life.
Judas was told by Jesus to go do what he had to do. For Jesus had made the announcement that one of his disciples would betray him.
For centuries now, Judas has been a by word for treachery.
Blood sweating. Hematrimosis, under great amount of stress the something bursts leaking into the sweat glands. Only known to happen when people think they're about to die. Jesus knew his time was up. Maybe Jesus hatched a plan with judas? As he undoubtably had time to escape, so he could have run away to the desert.
Jesus signed his own death warrant by saying that he is equal to god. Therefore he was convicted on a charge of blasphemy. Jesus would have had to be aware the punishment of blasphemy. Personally I think he wanted to die, and wanted to go out with a bang or something. Make a statement of his death.
A very smart man proved that Jesus couldn't have been nailed to the cross by his hands as in a matter of 10 minutes would have ripped straight through his hands. He would have had to have seat or leg rest, or or have his feat nailed to the sides of the tree.
His own family said Jesus was mad.
